Work in Progress: Project128

Project128 is an upcoming music and narrative-driven game with a conceptual art style and a lo-fi look. Set in an indoor city, players will encounter intractable NPCs with story/dialogue options and choices, aiming to provide a similar experience to Bethesda titles while incorporating mechanics reminiscent of Half-Life 2. Currently in development, Project128 promises a unique and immersive gaming experience. Stay tuned for updates as the project progresses.

Install instructions

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download the game file.
  2. Extract the contents of the downloaded .ZIP file.
  3. Locate and launch the "projekt128.exe" file to initiate the game.

Controls:

  • Interact with NPCs: Press the "F" key.
  • Pick up props: Press the "E" key.
  • Movement and Look: Utilize the WASD keys for movement and the mouse for looking around.

Warning:

Please be aware that this game is currently undergoing extensive development and does not include menus at this stage.

Exiting the Game:

To exit the game, perform the following steps:

  1. Press the ALT + TAB key combination to switch to another active window.
  2. Locate the game in the taskbar and close it from there.

Known Bugs:

During gameplay, you may encounter the following issues:

  • Lighting issues, including flickering lights.
  • Inconsistent triggering of NPC dialogue. To resolve this, approach the NPC closely, then step back.
